We need to keep track of all students after they leave the course for another course or employment for our reporting to TEC so students must keep in touch with us. Students are expected to fully commit to this course, in attendance, behaviour, attitude and take every training and employment opportunity made available to them. Only valid absences are acceptable. You will have a two week orientation time, this is to see if you can follow the expectations of the course requirements, eg attendance, behaviour and attitudes to others and if successful can go onto further hairdressing training units offered in this programme. Failing to comply with the regulations will result in you offered another course more suitable to your requirements. We encourage parents/Whanau to accompany the prospective student to the interview as the course is very comprehensive and family support id important for student success.

Why Choose Us:
‘Training Hairdressers is our Business!’ That’s what we do! We have now redirected the teaching & learning practises to a more Learner focused environment. Our business model is "Passion (Fashion)& Purpose (Relevance) before skill (Basic Skill)" this means we teach fashion work in blow waving, setting & Long Hair Ups well before the basic uniform layer sets & blow waves. This primarily focuses on capturing the students enthusiasum, excitement and keeps them focused on attendance & application to learning.
As the director I take it upon myself and use my contacts within the industry to source out part time jobs within the Manawatu, and further a field if necessary, for students towards the end of the course with the objective that the salon will offer you an apprenticeship. We have an 80% job success for students completing the programme to date. Hard working students with excellent attendance, attitude and skill will in fact get the best jobs. It’s all about attitude!
